Rehabilitation of the Main Water Pipe Line of 6th October City
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The 6th October city is supplied by raw water from an intake on the River Nile near Giza where the water pumping station is pumped in a single pre-stressed concrete pipeline 1,500 MM in diameter.
Scope of services included:
Hydraulic studies of the pipelineStudy of the water hammer protection devices
Studying the stresses in the pipe line body
Defining alternatives and choosing the most economic and safe solution
Determination of suitable specifications and complete working drawings for an intermediate boosting pumping station at KM 145 from the intake
