Regional Planning for the North West Coast
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The North West Coast is part of the Western Desert which required multi-sector development. It was a vast area of sand with sacristy of water, lack of significant towns, overgrazed for sheep breading and no industrial development.
Scope of services include:
Identifying the regions resources in the sectors of agriculture, tourism and industry and analyzed the present constraints for developmentDeveloping strategies and formulating socioeconomic justified projects related to the region
Rehabilitation of the grazing areas
Development of domestic & international tourism
Establishing inorganic chemical industry
Developing an extension of the existing Nasser Canal for water supply
Integrating all the economic and social development factors in scheming the multi-sectored development plan for this coastal zone
