PROJECT DESCRIPTION
PACER Consultants’ scope of work included:
Layout and design philosophyMarine works - shore protection, dredging, barge basin, and tanker berths
Tanks including distillates tanks, fuel Oil tanks, gas oil tanks, gasoline tanks, and Jet fuel tanks
Instrumentation and mechanical works including pipelines, firefighting, pumps, instrument air compressor, nitrogen plant, thermal heating unit, and loading arms
Mashreq Petroleum Company is an Egyptian joint stock company incorporated in 2004 to develop and construct a rival state-of-the-art independent storage terminal for liquid bulk as well as introducing a quality bunkering service with a capacity of about 660,000 m3.
The terminal had two major operations, to store Petroleum products (500,000 m3) and to supply bunker fuel to ships and barges (160,000 m3). The terminal facility comprises 32 tanks with capacity of 660,000 cubic meters. The tanks range in size from 5,500 m3 to 20,000 m3.
