PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In order to enhance the internal navigation waterways in Egypt between Cairo' and Alexandria, the River Transport Authority contracted PACER Consultants to carry out the planning and design works of the new Port in El Rasheed Branch in the industrial area of Kafr el Zayat.

PACER Consultants’ scope of work included:

Survey works of existing Port and all structures in the project area, preparing survey maps with suitable scale showing contour lines, network map, levels and traverse maps
Soil investigation for the proposed project and preparing technical report includes the field and lab tests and recommendations concerning foundation level and type of foundation
Determining the best location of the new Port according to the allowed distances between the existing structural works
Preparation of the project environmental report
The design works of all Building in the New Port
Preparing the tender documents for all packages
Construction site supervision
